How we collect, use and protect your information. Confidentiality is the foundation of our work.
How we collect, use and protect your information. Confidentiality is the foundation of our work.
This policy explains how Repudia, a member of Laerryblue Group, 22 Ahmed Tijani Otun Street, off Victoria Arobieke Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria (“Repudia”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website, request a Reputation Snapshot, ask for a Confidential Consultation or become a client.
We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, where it applies to you, other data protection laws.
Through our forms we collect:
When you become a client we may also hold information needed to act on your case, such as the content concerned, account names and evidence you share with us. Some of this may be sensitive, for example private images or details of threats. We handle it with particular care and only for your case.
Our website also collects limited technical data through cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
We never use your case, your name or your story to market Repudia. We do not sell personal data.
We rely on your consent (for example when you tick the Privacy Policy box on a form), on the need to take steps before and under a contract with you, on legal obligations and on our legitimate interest in running and securing our business. Where we process sensitive data about you, we do so with your explicit consent or where the law otherwise permits it.
Your data is shared only where needed to act on your case or run our business:
Some providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where they do, we use safeguards permitted under the NDPA.
Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for up to 12 months. Client files are kept for the duration of the engagement and up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Sensitive material you share for a case is deleted once it is no longer needed, unless you ask us to keep it.
Access to case information is limited to the people working on it. We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable service providers. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please share especially sensitive material only through the channel we agree with you.
Under the NDPA you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format and withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hello@repudia.ng. We respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with its date. Questions: hello@repudia.ng.
